Most gamers talk about how long their backlog is, and yes, mine is also five miles long. However, how about the wishlist?! I don’t know how it happened, but suddenly I have so many exciting titles on there. Everything from old releases to new ones and upcoming titles, life sims, survival games and a few not-so-cosy titles. It’s a long list, but here are my current top wishes.
Moonstone Island
This indie game seems like a must for all of us wholesome gaming fans out there. You are an alchemist set on a quest to finish your studies. You move away from home to do so, and have a few tools with you on your journey: The ability to tame spirits, some alchemy recipes and basic equipment. It is a cosy, wholesome pixel game where you can build, farm, fight and collect creatures. I was enticed before it was released, but when the scores now are around 80’s and 90’s I mean… I HAVE to play this!
Snacko
In this little indie gem you’re a cat that moves away from the city and starts building a town. Yes, you’re a cat. It’s GOTY material there already. You can farm, build, explore, cultivate friendships with animals to have them move to your town and more. Snacko has a pixel-eque type graphics and it kind of reminds me a bit of Minecraft? It is out in early access on Steam and is also set to release on Nintendo Switch.
Enshrouded
Since I love love love survival games, I can’t help but to put one of the latest survival hits Enshrouded on this list. It’s the typical open world survival game in the sense that it contains building, scavenging for material and fighting various mobs. The devs have seemingly taken all the good parts from other survival games such as Valheim and Minecraft, and mashed them all together to create Enshrouded. The base building and exploration looks particularly fun. I really want to get into this game together with a group of friends, but I’m a bit worried the more hardcore ones will quickly run out of things to do in this early access release.
